AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ACCEPT FROM
THE COUNTY OF McCRACKEN A PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY ON NEW
HOLT ROAD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
WHEREAS, during the Holt Road Realignment Project in 1995,
McCracken County acquired a portion of right-of-way by Deed of Conveyance from
Helen L. Stratton; and
WHEREAS, it has been discovered that the portion of right-of-way
acquired by McCracken County is located in the City Limits of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, McCracken County has quitclaimed that portion of right-of-
way to the City of Paducah.
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is hereby authorized to accept a
portion of right-of-way quitclaimed by McCracken County to the City of Paducah,
hereinafter described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing East right of way line of Holt
Road, said point being located South 80 degrees 22 minutes 17
seconds East a distance of 10.20 feet from a stone at the
Northwest corner of the Lee F. Powell property, said beginning
point being located 18.85 feet right of Holt Road Realignment
station 178+75.85; thence North 6 degrees 00 minutes 47
seconds East, 136.49 feet to a point 22.18 feet right of Holt Road
Realignment station 180+11.86; thence 31.42 feet along an arc
7 to the right, having a radius of 20.00 feet, the chord of which is
u� North 51 degrees 00 minutes 55 seconds East,.28.29 feet to a
point 42.69 feet right of Holt Road Realignment station
180+31.33; thence South 33 degrees 59 minutes 05 seconds
West, 35.98 feet to a point 25.00 feet right of Holt Road
Realignment station 180+00.00; thence South 4 degrees 32
minutes 07 seconds West, 108.47 feet to a point 25.00 feet right
of Holt Road Realignment station 178+91.53; thence 16.66 feet
along an arc to the right, having a radius of 699.07 feet, the
chord of which is South 5 degrees 13 minutes 06 seconds West,
16.66 feet to a point 25.00 feet right of Holt Road Realignment
station 178+75.46; thence North 80 degrees 22 minutes 17
seconds West, 6.16 feet to the point of beginning.
The above-described parcel contains .020 acres (872 sq. ft.).
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
