HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 93, No Resolution Number93 v A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO HEAVY DUTY POWER BUCKET MACHINES FOR SEWER CLEANING, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, requested and directed to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of two (2) new heavy duty power bucket machines for sewer cleaning; one with truck loading attachment and one without such attachment, but capable of being used together. Both machines to have fittings for heavy duty cable and associated equipment, including one bucket for 15 -inch pipe and one bucket for 22 -inch pipe. Bidders must furnish itemized prices for each unit and each piece of associated equipment, and must give full and complete specifications for articles upon which bids are made. Color.and lettering to be optional.and bidders must state time required for delivery after a contract of purchase.is awarded and shall give full details as to guarantees. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun Democrat to be published once a week for three consecutive weeks. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening -of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who.may let .a contract to the lowest and best bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
