HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 85, No Ordinance Number85 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY HARRISON STREET, ON THE SOUTH BY MADISON STREET, ON THE WEST BY 32ND STREET AND ON THE EAST BY 31ST STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE ACTION FOR SUCH CLOSING IN MCCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky does hereby authorize the closing of all of the alley in the block bounded on the north by Harrison Street, on the south by Madison Street, on the west by 32nd Street. and on the east by 31st Street, said alley extending westwardly from 31st Street and then northwardly to the south line of Harrison Street. SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to the provisions of KRS,94.360, a suit in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the aforesaid alley. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. Passed by the Board of Commissioners May 26, 1959 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, May 26, 1959.
