HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 817, No Resolution Number517 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, APPROVING, RATIFYING AND ADOPTING AN APPLICATION MADE BY PADUCAH WATER WORKS TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR A GRANT PURSUANT TO PUBLIC LAW 345, 54TH CONGRESS, AND REQUESTING THAT SUCH APPLICATION BE PROCESSED AS THE APPLICATION OF SAID CITY WHEREAS, heretofore and on October 19, 1962, Paducah Water Works an administrative agency of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, executed its application to the United States of America for a grant pursuant to Public Law 345, 54th Congress, as amended by the Public Works Acceleration Act, for a grant in the amount of $55,717.50 for the purpose of aiding in financing construction of a water storage tank, and WHEREAS, said application was approved by a resolution adopted by the Commissioners of Water Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS, funds for local participation in said project will be provided as is more specifically set out in said application, and WHEREAS, title to all real estate and improvements thereon used by Paducah Water Works is vested in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the use and benefit of,said Paducah Water Works; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby approve, ratify and adopt as an application of the City the application made on October 19, 1962 by Paducah Water Works of Paducah, Kentucky, to the United States of America for a grant pursuant to Public Law 345, 54th Congress, as amended by the Public Works Acceleratiob Act, in the amount of $55,717.50 for the purpose of aiding in financing construction of a water storage tank; and that said Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby request that henceforth said application be processed as the application of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2.
