A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, APPROVING, RATIFYING AND ADOPTING AN APPLICATION MADE BY
PADUCAH AIRPORT CORPORATION TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR A
GRANT PURSUANT TO PUBLIC LAW 345, 84TH CONGRESS, AND REQUESTING
THAT SUCH APPLICATION BE PROCESSED AS THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH AND McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, heretofore and on October 19, 1962, Paducah Airport
Corporation, a non-profit corporation organized and existing for the
purpose of acquiring, constructing, maintaining and operating a
municipal airport in the promotion of the public interests of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky and McCracken County, Kentucky, executed its
application to the United States of America for a grant pursuant to
Public Law 345, 84th Congress. as amended by the Public Works
Acceleration Act, in the amount of $28,380.00 for the purpose of
aiding in financing the construction of a hangar building on Barkley
Field (The Paducah and McCracken County Municipal Airport), and
WHEREAS, said application was approved by a resolution adopted by
the Board of Directors of the Paducah Airport Corporation, and
WHEREAS, funds for local participation in said project will be
provided as is more specifically set out in said application, and
WHEREAS, title to all real estate and improvements thereon con-
stituting Barkley Field and operated by Paducah Airport Corporation is
vested in the City of Paducah, Kentucky and McCracken County, Kentucky,
jointly and equally;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, does hereby, jointly and in conjunction with the Fiscal
Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, said Fiscal Court being the
Governing Body of said County, ratify and adopt as the application
of the City and McCracken County, Kentucky, the application made on
October 19, 1962, by Paducah Airport Corporation to the United States
of America for a grant pursuant to Public Law 345, 84th Congress,
as amended by the Public Works Acceleration Act, in the amount of
$28,3$0.00 for the purpose of aiding in financing the construction
of a hangar building on Barkley Field (the Paducah and McCracken
County Airport); and that said Board of Commissioners of the City of j
Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby request that henceforth said application j
be processed as the joint application of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
and McCracken County, Kentucky.
