HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 796, No Resolution Number796 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CIVIL AERONAUTICS BOARD OF WASHINGTON, D. C. TO APPROVE THE MOTION OF OZARK AIR LINES, INC. TO CONSOLIDATE ITS APPLICATION IN DOCKET NO. 14037 INTO THE PROCEEDING UNDER DOCKET hO. 13602. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COP-11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Civil Aeronautics Board of Washington, D. C. be, and it is hereby, requested by the Legislative Body of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to approve the motion of Ozark Air Lines, Inc. to consolidate its application in Docket No. 14037 into the proceeding under Docket No. 13602 for the following reasons: (a) Such consolidation will clear the way for prompt consideration of the application of said Ozark Air Lines, Inc. under date of September 20, 1962, to amend Segment 4 of its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to read as follows: "4. Between the terminal point St. Louis, 1-1o., the intermediate points Marion -Herrin, I11., Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Paducah, Ky., and (a) beyond Paducah, Ky., the intermediate points Clarksville, Tennessee. -Ft. Campbell-Hopkinsville, Ky., Nashville, Tenn., Bowling Green, Ky., and Louisville, Ky., and (b) beyond Paducah, Ky., the intermediate points Owensboro, Ky., and Louisville, Ky., and (c) beyond the intermediate point Louisville, Ky., the inter- mediate point Frankfort, Ky., and the terminal point Concinnati, Ohio." (b) Such amendment would provide the City of Paducah and 'rlestern Kentucky with direct, single -plane service to the City of FrdnkfbVt, the Capital of Kentucky, and to the City of Cincinnati, Ohio, and also to the City of Bowling Green, I:entucky, with which the City of Paducah has a large community of interests, and no such convenient service now exists. SECTION 2. That the Clerk of the City of.Paducah, Kentucky, certify this Resolution to the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C. SECTION 3.
