HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 757, No Resolution Number757 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE KIWANIS CLUB OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY BETWEEN 17TH STREET AND 19TH STREET, AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID LEASE 04— BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CODTMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to enter into a Lease on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with the Kiwanis Club of Paducah, Kentucky, in words and figures as follows, to -wit: "THIS LEASE made and entered into on this the day of 1962, between the KIIIIANIS CLUB OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, a Corporation, party of the first part, and the CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, party of the second part, W I T N E S S E T H: "That the party of the first part does hereby lease to party d of the second part its property, premises and facilities situated on the north side of Broadway between 17th Street and 19th Street, and being the same property conveyed to party of the first part by party of the second part on June 17, 1947 by deed of record in Deed Book 429, page 492 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. "The term of said lease shall be one (1) year from the 1st day of August, 1962, and party of the second part is to pay to party of the first part the sum of One 'jollar ($1.00) as rental for said period. "Said premises are to be occupied and used only for recreational activities by the Paducah Recreation Department. "The party of the second part is to pay all utilities; procure I sufficient public liability insurance; will make no alterations to the building without the approval of party of the first part, and shall take good care of said premises and return the same in as good condition as when received by the party pf the second part, ordinary wear and II� tear and accidents by fire or other casualty excepted.
