AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, AND HARPER INDUSTRIES INC. FOR A CLOSED ALLEY
BETWEEN BROWN STREET AND AN ISLAND CREEK TRIBUTARY
T WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 99-11-6134, dated November 9, 1999, the
City of Paducah authorized the closing of an alley located between Brown Street and an
Island Creek tributary. McCracken Circuit Court issued final judgment closing this alley
by Civil Action No. 00 -CI -01005, dated March 16, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Harper Industries Inc. has requested a Quitclaim Deed to
establish a clear chain of title to this real estate.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a Quitclaim Deed by and between the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and Harper Industries
Inc. for a closed alley between Brown Street and an Island Creek tributary, pursuant to
City of Paducah Ordinance No. 99-11-6134 and McCracken Circuit Court Civil Action
No. 00 -CI -01005.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
