HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 737, No Resolution Number73� A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW POLYGRAPH, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, requested to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of one (1) new polygraph having the following specifications: Equipment is to be portable; to be operated solely by 115 volts 60 cycle alternating current; each bidder to submit complete specifications and description of the ploygraph and associated equipment he proposes to sell; shall state the length of time required for delivery after a con- tract is awarded; and, if requested, shall exhibit to the City Officials at the City Hall in Paducah equipment similar to that bid upon by him. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun Democrat as provided for by law. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the Cuty Manager up to the time fixed for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and hest bidder and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of the purchase contract. SECTION 3.
