AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERIC TO EXECUTE,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, A DEED OF CORRECTION TO
CLARENCE COLE, JACOB ROSENFIELD AND JOSEPH A. ROSENFIELD TO PROPERTY
AT 524 NORTH 4TH STREET IN SAID CITY
WHEREAS by ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
May 10, 1960, the offer of Clarence Cole, Jacob Rosenfield and Joseph
A. Rosenfield in the amount of $1,250.00 for the purchase price of
property owned by the City of Paducah at 524 North 4th Street in said
city was accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to
execute a deed on behalf of the city conveying said property to said
purchasers, and
WHEREAS on June 11, 1960 the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and
through Robert C. Cherry, Mayor and Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, conveyed
said property to the said Clarence Cole, Jacob Rosenfield and Joseph
A. Rosenfield by deed which has been recorded in Deed Book 415, page
573 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office, and
IVMEREAS in said ordinance and said deed of conveyance it was
stated the property had been conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky
by deed recorded in Deed Book 126, page 21 in McCracken County Court
Clerk's office, and
WHEREAS it appears that such was in error in that the property
had been conveyed to the City by deed of record in Deed Book 126,
page 2 in said Clerk's office, and
WHEREAS it is the desire of the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah to correct said error.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute, on behalf of
said City a Deed of Correction to Clarence Cole, Jacob Rosenfield and
Joseph A. Rosenfield to the property at 524 North 4th Street in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, which was conveyed by the City to said
parties by deed dated June 11, 1960, and of record in Deed Book 415,
page 573 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office pursuant to an
ordinance adopted on May 10, 1960, and they shall show in such Deed of
Correction that said property was conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky
by deed of record in Deed Book 126, page 2 in said Clerk's office, and said
of Correction shall be for no other purpose.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
