HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 676, No Ordinance Number676 , AN ORDINANCE CLODING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN CONNECTION WITH MUNICIPAL HOUSING PROJECTS KY 6-6 AND KY 6-7 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI-SIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in connection with Municipal Housing; Projects ICY 6-6 and ICY 6-7 does hereby authorize the closing of the following streets and alleys and portions thereof as follows: KY 6-6: 1. The entire public alley, 18.38 feet in width and running in a northwest and southeast dire- ction and extending from the North line of ?Tall Street to the South line of Vasseur Avenue,'a distance of 317 feet. 2. A 12.5 foot alley, perpendicular to Alley No. 1 which begins at a point 154.0 feet northwest of the northwest line of Wall Street; thence at a right angle and in a southwesterly direction 612.54 feet; thence at an interior angle 116 degrees 51 minutes 15 seconds and in a westerly direction 14.0 feet; thence at an interior angle of 63 degrees 8 minutes 45 seconds and in a northeasterly direction 61$.87 feet to the south: -rest line of Alley No. 1 which is at a point 150.5 feet southeast of the southeast line of Vasseur Avenue. 3. All of a 16 foot public alley which begins at a point on the northwest line of Vasseur Avenue 175.0 feet from the west corner of the intersection of Bridge Street and Vasseur Avenue; thence at a right angle and in a northwesterly direction 210.7 feet; thence at an interior angle of 102 degrees and in a westerly direction 16.36 feet; thence at an interior angle of 78 degrees and in a south- easterly direction 214.1 feet to a point in the northwest line of Vasseur Avenue 16 feet southwest of the point of beginning. 4. That portion of Wall Street which begins at a point 199.8$ feet from the West corner of the intersection of Bridge Street and :']all Street; thence in a southwesterly direction 534.58 feet; thence at an interior angle of 63 degrees $ minutes 4.5 seconds and in a easterly direction 44.83 feet; thence at an interior angle of 116 degrees 51 minutes 15 seconds and in a northeasterly direction 514.33 feet; thence at a right angle and in a north- westerly direction 40 .feet to the point of beginning. 5. A portion of an alley of variable width which is perpendicular to the southwest line of North 14th Street between Harrison and Clay Streets, said portion beginning at a point' 165.0 feet northwest of the west corner of 14th and Harrison Streets; thence at a right angle and in a southiresterly direction 165.31 feet; thence at a right angle and in a north- westerly direction 14..11 feet; thence at a right angle and in a northeasterly direction along the northwest line of said alley to a point on the southwest line of North 14th Street; thence at a right angle and in a southeasterly direction 14.13 feet to the point of beginning. 677 KY 6-7 1. All of a 30 foot public alley extending from the southwest line of North Seventh Street to the northeast line of North Eighth Street, the southeast line of said alley being 160.0 feet from the northwest line of Campbell Street. 2. All of a 21 foot public alley extending be- tween the southeast line of Caldwell Street and the northwest line of Husbands Street, and the northeast line of said alley being 162.0 feet from the southwest line of Murrell Boule- vard. 3. All of a 12 foot public alley extending be- tween the southeast line of Husbands Street and the northwest line of a public alley 374.0 feet from the southeast line of said Husbands Street and the southwest line of said 12 foot alley being 165.0 feet from the northeast line of Murrell Boulevard. 4. All of a 10 foot alley extending between the northeast line of Murrell Boulevard and the southwest line of South Ninth Street, the northwest line of said 10 foot alley being 166 feet from the southeast line of Husbands Street. KY 6-6 5. Beginning at a point on an 1$.38 foot public alley, said alley extending from the South- east line of Vasseur Avenue to the northwest line of 'gall Street and said alley lying parallel to Bridge Street between 1$1.5 feet and 199.$$ feet from the southeast line of Bridge Street and said point being 130.0 feet southeast of the southeast line of Vasseur Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction and along the line of said alley 20.5 feet; thence at a right angle and in a southwesterly direction 27.5 feet; thence at a right angle and in a northwesterly direction 20.5 feet; thence at a right angle and in a northeasterly direction 27.5 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized and empowered to institute, pursuant to the provisions of KRS 94.360, a suit in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the above streets and alleys and portions thereof referred to in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
