AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND FROM
PADUCAH ASSOCIATION OF 0011,1ERCE, INC., FIXING THE PURCHASE PRICE
OF SAME, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, purchase from
Paducah Association of Commerce, Inc, the following described land
in the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
Beginning at a stone corner to property owned by
the Paducah Ball Park Association, which point is
685 feet east of the east line of "C" Street of
Paducah; thence in a southerly direction along the
line of the property of the Paducah Ball Park As-
sociation 363.05 feet to a stone, which stone is
685 feet east of the east line of said "C" Street
of Paducah; thence south 72 decrees 30 minutes east
742.7 feet more or less to a stake in the west or
rear line of Lot No. 1 in a subdivision of property
of ,yells Heath, which stake is 175 feet west fKoui
the west line of Old Mayfield Road; thence on an
interior angle of 75 degrees 29 minutes and in a
northerly direction along the rear line of Lots
1, 2, 3 and 4 of said .'fells Heath Subdivision and
crossing Quarles Avenue as dedicated on plat of
said subdivision of property of Wells Heath 279.61
feet more or less to a stake in the northwest cor-
ner of LotfNo. 4 of said subdivision; thence on an
interior angle of 201 degrees 272 minutes and in a
northeasterly direction along the rear line of Lot
No. 5 of said Wells Heath subdivision 53.7 feet to
a willow tree being the northwesterly corner of said
Lot No. 5; thence on an interior angle of 154 degrees
322 minutes and in a northerly direction 40 feet to
a stone corner to property of the Paducah Ball Park
Association; thence on an interior angle of 104 de-
grees 33 minutes in a westerly direction along the
property of Paducah Ball Park Association 673.1 feet
more or less to the point of beginning.
Being the same land conveyed to the Paducah Association
of Commerce, Inc. by Mable Brooks Heath and others, by
deed dated April 20th, 1957, and of record in Deed Book
397, page 338 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
The purchase price to be paid for said land shall be the sum of
;1,500.00 and upon receipt of a general warranty deed conveying the
above land properly executed and approved by the Corporation Counsel,
the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay the
said Paducah Association of Commerce, Inc, said sum of N1,500.00
to be charged to Account Number 7700.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
