AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HENRY A. PETTER SUPPLY
COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF 1000 FEET OF 12 -INCH FIRE HOSE
AND 1000 FEET OF 22 -INCH FIRE HOSE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, AND
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE
SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Henry A. Petter Supply Company
for the sale to the City of 1000 feet of 1 -inch doubin jacket
dacron cotton rubber lined fire hose in 50 foot lengths, with
brass forged rocker lug couplings National Standard thread, at
$?0.96 per foot coupled; and 1000 feet of 22 -inch hose having the
same specifications except to have Paducah thread at $1.40 per
foot, be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into and execute a contract on behalf of the
City for the purchase of same.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one
(1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it
shall be put upon its final passage,,and if adopted shall be in
full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
