ORDINANCE PROPOSIiiG AI4i1EiATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING, ADJACENT TO THE VIEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SUCH TERRITORY TO BE ANNEXED TO SAID CITY; AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH ANNEXATION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory adjacent to the west corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and that said property so proposed to be annexed is described as follows: Beginning at a point in the present city limits line said point being the south west corner of the intersection of Highland Boulevard and the Lone Oak Road (US 45); thence in a westerly direction and with the southerly property line of -the Lone Oak Road to a point where the line divi- ding the property of Miller and Smith would, if extended, intersect the southerly property -line of the Lone Oak Road; thence in a northerly direction and along said extended property line to the northerly property line of the Lone Oak Road; thence in an easterly direction and along the northerly property line of the Lone Oak Road to the line dividing the property of Miller and Sanders Arcadia Sub- division; thence in a northerly direction and along the line dividing the properties of Ililler and Sanders Arcadia Subdivision to the northwest corner of Sanders Arcadia Sub- division, common corner to Barkley; thence with the line dividing the lands of I+filler and Barkley, continuing in a northerly direction, to the southerly property line of the Blandville Road; thence westerly along the southerly property line of the Blandville Road to a point where the easterly property line of Minerva Place (Forty-third Street) would, if extended, intersect the southerly property line of said road; thence in a northerly direction and with the easterly property line of Plinerva Place to a point in the present city limits, said point being 1091 south of the southeast corner of 111inerva Place and Sunset Avenue; thence in an easterly direction and with the present city limits to the easterly property line of Cardinal Lane (Forty -Second Street); thence continuing with the present city limits in a northerly direction and along the easterly property line of Cardinal Lane (Forty -Second Street) to the south line of Lot 1, Block 6 - Minerva Place Addition; thence continuing with the present city limits in an easterly direction and with thr south line of Lot 1 to the west line of Lot 7, Block 6 - Minerva Place Addition; thence continuing with the present city limits in a southerly direction and with the west line of Lot 7 to the south west corner of Lot 7; thence continuing with the present city limits and with the south line of Lot 7 and 8 - Minerva Place Addition in an easterly direction to the east line of Block 6 - Minerva ?lace Addition; thence in a southerly direction and with the east line o_° Block 6 to the northerly property line of the Blandville Road: thence in an easterly direction and with the northerly property line of the Blandville Road 1004; thence in a northerly direction and parallel with the east line of Block 6, 369.231 to the south line of the Loveless property; thence in an easterly direction and with Loveless? south line 1231 to Loveless' south east corner; thence in a northerly direction and with Loveless east line 1301 to the present city limits; thence with 'the present city limits in an easterlydirection to the center line of a 30? road, the northerly extension of said road divining Blocks : and Sunset Court Addition; thence continuing 45 with the present city limits, in a southerly direction and lith the center line of said road to the northerly property line of the Blandville Road; thence continuing with the present city limits in an easterly and southerly direction to the northwesterly line of Sanders Arcadia Subdivision; thence continuing with the present city limits in a south- westerly and easterly direction to the westerly property line of the Lone Oak Road; thence continuing with the present city limits along the westerly and northerly line of the Lone Oak Road to the westerly property line df Highland Boulevard if extended; thence continuing with the present city limits across the Lone Bak road to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary. SECTIOU 3. This ordinance shall be published in at least ten (10) issues of the Sun Democrat, a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, and the extension of the city limits as herein.proposed shall not become effective.until the adoption of an ordinance annexing the property described in Section 1 hereof as herein proposed, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until publication of this ordinance as provided herein and until the e;;piration of a period of thirty (30) days after the passage of this ordinance. Notice is hereby given of a provision of Section $1.110 of Kentucky Revised Statutes that one or more residents or freeholders of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty (30) days after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the Circuit Court of i-icCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the reasons why such territory, or any part of it; should not be annexed. SECTION 4.
