HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 469, No Resolution Number46>9 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE (1) BASE UNIT OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPI4ENT FOR THE 1 CITY OF PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, requested to advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) base unit of communication I equipment for the City of Paducah Police Department, having the following j i general specifications: ; 115-117 volts AC at 60 cycles; approximately 50 watts RF output; i to be designed and constructed to meet with full compliance all Federal Communication Commission Rules and Regulations that are to become in full I effect in October, 1963, and are to operate in the 148-171 megacycle band; unit to be installed as a base station in the City Hall and to be fully warranted for a period of at least 90 days after installation. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids i by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun Democrat to be published not less than seven (7) days nor more than twenty-one (21) days before the date fixed for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder, and said Board shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
