HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 449, No Ordinance Number449 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY ASPHALT SALES COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF RC -0 TO 5 AND MO -0 TO 5 LIQUID ASPHALT REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH DURING 1961; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID MATERIAL; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Kentucky Asphalt Sales Company for the sale to the City of Paducah of all MC -0 to 5 and RC -0 t6 5 liquid asphalt required by the City of Paducah during the year 1961 be accepted, and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase, upon the order of said city, all of such asphalt to be used during 1961 at the following price: Liquid Asphalt delivered by transport with insulated trailers at $0.1212 per gallon F.O.B. 6th and Campbell Streets, Paducah, Kentucky. Said contract shall also contain all of the terms and conditions contained in a resolution authorizing the advertisement for bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on February 28, 1961. A guarantee shall be provided against advance in market price and a guarantee shall be provided for reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the market price, and said Company shall post a performance bond in the sum of $2,500.00 guaranteeing specifi- cations and delivery. Terms of payment shall be 1% 10 days, net 30 days. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
