HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 446, No Ordinance Number446 / AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY TO HOWARD T. S1II THSON AND MACK W. SANDERS, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the offer of Howard T. Smithson and Mack W. Sanders in the sum of 7250.00 for the purchase of the following described land situated in the County of McCracken and State of Kentucky, to -wit: Being a part of Lots 6 and 7 in Block 4 of Sanders, woodlawn,Addition, a plat of which is of record in Plat Book "A", page 285 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, and beginning at a point on the south line of U. S. Highways 60, 62 and 68 at.the northwest corner of said Lot No. 6; thence eastwardly with the south line of said highways 39.4 feet to a point in the west line of the City of Paducah floodwall levee right-of-way and 40 feet west of the center line of the floodwall levee; thence at an interior angle of 105 degrees 38 minutes and parallel with the center line of said levee and 40 feet westwardly thereof a distance of 154.43 feet to a point on the north line of an alley in said Block No. 4; thence at an interior angle of 74 degrees 22 minutes and westwardly with the north line of said alley 79.25 feet to a point at the southwest corner of said Lot No. 6; thence at right angles north- wardly and with the west line of said Lot No. 4, 150 feet to the point of beginning. Being a part of the same land conveyed to City of Paducah, Kentucky by deeds of record in Deed Book 156, page 303 and Deed Book 175, page 458 in the aforesaid Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $250.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey the land described in Section 1 hereof to Howard T. Smithson and Mack W. Sanders subject to the following terms and conditions: a. The deed shall contain no warrenty as to title. b. The land will be conveyed subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. c. The purchasers and their heirs and assigns are to erect and maintain at all times a fence along the entire east line of said land, which .line is along the west line of the Paducah Floodwall Levee Right-of-way, and upon failure so to do, the title in and to said land is to immediately revert to the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 3.
