AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RA14KS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPARTD-ENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IDI CONFLICT IIEREWITH",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COI.1MISSIONERS 01\1 DECEMBER 11, 1951,
AND AMENDED ON SEPTEMBER 22, 1959
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI'•?,IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTIO;. 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on
September 22, 1959, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The number and rank of the members of the Fire
Department of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided
said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance
hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during
his first year of service shall receive a salary of N280.00 per month
and upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by
THE City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to 4`290.00 for the second year of service, and
upon completion of the second year of satisfactory service as determined
by the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to the sum of 005.00."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
on and after February 1, 1961. ` l
