HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 4, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADJUSTING THE RATES OF PAY FOR CERTAIN NON -CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", WHICH RIAS ADOPTED ON MARCH 16, 1957, AND AMENDED ON NOVEMBER 25, 1958 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF TIM CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on I'Iarch 16, 1957, and amended on November 25, 1958, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That from and including January 16, 1959, the monthly rate of compensation to the following non -civil service employees of the City of Paducah shall be the amount set opposite the designation of such employment, to -wit: Position Corporation Counsel Assistant Corporation Counsel Assistant Corporation Counsel (Police Court) Director of Public Works City Physician (colored) Secretary to City Judge Janitor Chief Foreman of Refuse Temporary Clerk in Engineering Department Field -Office Helper Monthly Salar i$345.00 245.00 270.00 390.00 1$0.00 220.00 220.00 340.00 210.00 270.00 After the person has occupied the position of Field -Office Helper for a period of six months the salary thereof, upon recommendation of the City Manager, shall be 1'$275.00 per month, and at the end of twelve months, upon recommendation of the City Manager, said salary shall be 1$2$0.00 per month. The Janitor shall be paid at the rate of r?220.00 per month for the first six months after the effective date of this ordinance; at the expiration of six months 1$225.00 per month; and at the ex- piration of another six months ?230.00 per month. Such increases shall be made upon the recommendation of the City Manager." QECTION 2.
