AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WEST KENTUCKY MOTOR COMPANY,
INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF TWO (2) NEW PANEL TRUCKS FOR USE
IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid
of West Kentucky Motor Company, Inc. in the sum of $4,299.38, less
$720.00 for trade-in of two (2) 1956 Ford panel trucks, making a
total delivery cost of $3,579.38 for the sale to the City of two (2)
new 1961 GMC 1001 Chassis having the following specifications:
Six cylinder; Deluxe panel body; auxiliary folding seat; heater and
defroster; oil bath air cleaner; oil filter; directional signals;
automatic transmission; oil cooler for hydramatic transmission;
5 = 7.10x15 4 -ply tires & tubes; double pulley on crankshaft;
install spotlight furnished by City and painted according to City.
of Paducah specifications. Such trucks to be delivered to the City
within thirty (30) days after the execution of the purchase contract.
SECTION 2. That the City Mamager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract for the purchase of said motor,.vehicles as
set out in Section 1.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in

which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
