AN ORDINANCE ATTENDING SUB-SECTIO14 2 OF SECTION 8-D OF THE
"APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH ;IAS ADOPTED

PADUCAH, TO TTTUCKY:
SECTIOTT 1. That Sub -section 2 of Section 8-D of the "Appointive
Employees? Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board
of Commissioners on December 2, 1947, and amended on September 22,
1959, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that
said sub -section shall read as follows:
"Sub -section 2. There is hereby authorized and created the
` following positions in the Sewage Disposal Department, and the
salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is
not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted,
shall be as follows:

Operators (3 positions) 290.00
The Chief Operator and the Maintenance Tian shall be paid at
the rate of :;325.00 per month for the first six months of employment,
and at the expiration of such period, upon recommendation of the
City Manager, the salary shall be raised fo ;:'335.00 per month.
The Operators shall be paid at the rate of -.1270.00 per month
for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six
months, ;1280.00 per month; and at the expiration of another six
months •';;290.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommenda-
tion of the City Manager.
The Sewage Disposal Department shall be under the management
and control of the Floodwall Superintendent, and the employees of
the Floodwall Department, at his direction, may be assigned to work
in the Sewage Disposal Department, and the employees of the
Sewaga Disposal Department, at his direction, may be assigned
to work in the Floodwall Department, but any of such employees
so assigned shall keep and maintain their civil seraice rights
under the department to which they were originally assigned."

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the 16th day of September, 1960.
