AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GILBERT'S PLUMBING
AND HEATING COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF x}52,056.20 FOR FURNISHING
ALL MATERIALS AND WORK FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONTRACT NO. 1,
FAIRMONT SANITARY SEWERS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AUTHOR-
IZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, A CONTRACT WITH GILBERTtS PLUMBING AND HEATING COMPANY,
INC. FOR SAID MATERIALS AND WORK; AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT
^IHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, advertised for bids
for materials and work for the construction of Contract No. 1
Fairmont Sanitary Sewers in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, bids were submitted by contractors for said materials
and work in accordance with the "Notice to Bidders, Instructions to
Bidders, Proposal Form, Performance Bond Form, Contract Agreement
Form, General Conditions, Special Conditions, and Specifications for
Contract No. 1, Fairmont Sanitary Sewers", which were prepared by
the Engineering Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid for said materials and work was in '
the amount of $52,056.20 and was submitted by Gilbert's Plumbing and
Heating Company, Inc. of Paducah, Kentucky.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, subject to the
conditions hereinafter set out, accept the bid of Gilbert's Plumbing
and Heating Company, Inc. in the amount of 052,056.20 for materials
and work for the construction of Contract No. 1, Fairmont Sanitary
Sewers in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, subject to all the terms
and conditions contained in the documents upon which said bidder
based his bid for said materials and work „such documents having been
prepared by the Engineering Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
entitled "PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SANITARY SEWERAGE IN[PROVEMENTS, CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, PROPOSAL FORT4,
BOND FORM, CONTRACT AGREEMENT FORM, GENERAL CONDITIONS, SPECIAL
CONDITIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONTRACT NO. 1, FAIRMONT SANITARY
SEWERS".
SECTION 2. Acceptance of the bid of Gilbertts Plumbing and
Heating Company, Inc, as set out in Section 1 hereof shall be con-

ditioned upon the proper execution by said Contractor of the aforesaid
contract documents as mentioned in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. Upon the approval of the Corporation Counsel of
the execution of the performance bond and contract ihcluded in the
contract documents mentioned and set out in Section 1 hereof, the
Mayor of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized to execute said
contract for and on behalf of said City.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain
on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
