A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TOE XECUTE
AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO COOPERATION AGREEMENT DATED APRIL 28, 1958
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH MUNICIPAL
HOUSING COMMISSION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C0191ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, Amendment No. 1 to Cooperation Agreement
dated April 28, 1958, between the City of Paducah, Kentucky and
the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission, which is in words
and figures as follows, to -wit:
"AM•ENDMENT N0. 1 TO COOPERATION AGREEMENT
DATED APRIL 28, 1958 BETWEEN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND THE CITY OF
PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOUSING COMMISSION
"WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the City
of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission have heretofore entered
into a Cooperation Agreement dated April 28, 1958, in connection
with the development of 40 units of low -rent housing which has
been designated Project No. KY -6-5; and
"WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
on August 3, 1960, adopted a Resolution declaring a further need
for low -rent housing and approving the application of the City
of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission to the Public Housing
Administration for a Preliminary Loan not to exceed '?'42,500.00
for surveys and planning in connection with the development
of 250 additional units of low -rent housing, and in furtherahce
of said approval the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission,
on August 10, 1960 applied to the PHA for said additional housing
units and a Preliminary Loan; and
"WHEREAS, the parties hereto mutually desire to revise and
amend the Cooperation Agreement dated April 28, 1958 to provide
for the local cooperation necessar# to the development and
administration of 250 additional units of low -rent housing,
or such lesser amount as the Public Housing Administration
shall approve by the issuance of a further Program Reservation,
or Reservations.
"NOW THEREFORE it is mutually agreed that the Cooperation
Agreement dated April 28, 1958 shall be and the same is hereby
amended by deleting all of Section 2 thereof and substituting
therefor the following:

12. The Local Authority shall endeavor (a) to secure a
contract or contracts with the PHA for loans and annual
contributions covering one or more Projects comprising
approximately two hundred ninety (290) units of low -rent
housing and (b) to develop and administer such Project or
Projects, each of which shall be located within the corporate
limits of the Municipality. The obligations of the parties
hereto shall apply to each such Project.T

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
