FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF #7, #8, #9 AND #11, LIMESTONE, KENTUCKY STATE HIGHWAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR USE BY THE CITY DURING 1959, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C004ISSIOI1IERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of Paducah of #7, #$, //9 and #11 Limestone, Kentucky State Highway Specifications, required by the City during the year 1959 (approximately 2500 to 4000 tons) be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase, upon the order of the City, of all such #7, #g, #9 and #11 limestone to be used during the year, 1959, such contract to provide for the price of ti?'2.15 per ton. The limestone to be delivered to any destination in the city limits of the city as ordered, by collect telephone call, by the Director of Public Works in one hundred ton lots or more and delivery to begin within twenty-four hours after notification and continue until the required amount has been delivered. All weights of delivered lime- stone must be certified at some accurate scale at or near the City of Paducah at the expense of the Seller. The Seller shall furnish representative samples of the limestone at the request of the Director of Public Works. The Seller shall guarantee against advance in the market price and guarantee reduction in the event of a decrease in the market price. The Seller shall post a performance bond in the sum of 01,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at"a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain onfile for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
