HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 283, No Ordinance Number2$3 � AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF dHAYNE SUPPLY CO24PA1•1Y FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) NEVI CRACILER TRACTOR FOR USE IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC 'JORKS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Whayne Supply Company in the sum of ,`x16,6$5.00 less x`3,500.00 for trade-in of one (1) TD -9 International Diesel Crawler with Hough Loader, making a total delivery cost of ;;>13,1$5.00 for the sale to the City of one (1) new Caterpillar 955 Traxcavator, 60" gauge, Series "C" tractor having all equipment and specifications as required and set out in the resolution authorizing the advertise- ment for bids for the purchase of such equipment which was adopted by the board of Commissioners on April 20, 1960, and as specified in the bid of Whayne Supply Company. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of said tractor and equipment as set out in Section 1. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary that said tractor be purchased as soon as possible in order that the health and welfare of the citizens may be protected, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
