HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 254, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE A14ENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN LAND IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY OWNED BY SUCH CITY TO THE 6 SALVATION ARMY, A CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITUONS OF SUCH SALE AND CONVEYANCETF, WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COIvIlvLISSIONERS ON APRIL 12, 1960 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COPD SSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the board of commissioners on April 12, 1960, be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 2. Such sale and conveyance is for a consideration of One Dollar M.00) cash and the further consideration that such property shall be used by the Salvation Army only in the conduct of its regular business and affairs; in the erent such property, at any time in the next twenty (20) years, should cease to be used for such purpose for a period of one (1) year, the title in and to the same is to revert to the City of Paducah; but after twenty (20) years such reversionary clause shall cease to be in force and effect." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
