HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 219, No Resolution NumberMENDED W1 A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 4 OF A RESOLUTION ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION SETTING OUT THE NEED FOR THE CREATION OF AN AGENCY FOR THE EXERCISE OF SUCH POWERS, FUNCTIONS, AND DUTIES GRANTED BY CHAPTER 99 OF THE KENTUCKY REVISED STATUTES AND AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF SUCH AN AGENCY HEREIN", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY ON FEBRUARY 23, 1960 WHEREAS, the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the United States Government has requested certain changes in a Resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION SETTING OUT THE NEED FOR THE CREATION OF AN AGENCY FOR THE EXERCISE OF SUCH POWERS, FUNCTIONS, AND DUTIES GRANTED BY CHAPTER 99 OF THE IENTUCKY REVISED STATUTES AND AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF SUCH AN AGENCY HEREIN", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah on February 23, 1960, and WHEREAS, it is necessary that such amendments of such sections be made in order to conform to the regulations and policy of the Housing and Home Finance Agency in order for the Local Public Agency to accept Federal Grants from said Federal Government for the purposes of Urban Renewal Projects. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sections 2 and 4. of a resolution containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of. Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on February 23, 1960, be amended so that said sections as amended shall read as follows: . "SECTION 2. Said agency shall be named the Slum Clearance and Development Agency of the City of Paducah." "SECTION 4. The agency herein created shall also be known as the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency." SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after ita adoption.
