AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THE PURPOSE
OF EQUALIZING THE ASSESSMENTS OF PROPERTY FOR TAXATION IN THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUFKY, PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF SAID BOARD,
OFFICE HOURS AND TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY
THE BOARD OF C011II11ISSI0NERS Oid OCTOBER 19, 1957
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COiISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 4 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on October
19, 1957 be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as
amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 4. The Board of Equalization shall meet at the office
of the City Assessor in the City Hall building in Paducah, Kentucky
each and every day, Holidays and Sundays excluded, commencing with
the first Monday in December of each year, and shall continue
in session for a period of four (4) weeks from said date, unless
additional time is granted by motion of the Board of Commissioners.
The Board of Equalization shall be in session from 8:30 A.M. until
5:00 P.M. each and every day they are in session with the exception
of the hour between Noon and 1:00 P.M."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
