BODNER OF BURNS & McDONNELL ENGINEERING COMPANY OF JANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, AS APPRAISER FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN CONNEC- TION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM OF.KENTUCKY UTILITIES COMPANY WITHIN SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME AND SETTING FORTH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH CONTRACT THAT WHEREAS heretofore and on June 8, 1959, Andrew E. Bodner of Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company of Kansas City, Missouri, was appointed as an appraiser on behalf of the City to make a survey of and appraise the value of the Electric system owned in Paducah, Kentucky, by Kentucky Utilities Company, and WHEREAS the services of the said Andrew E. Bodner were engaged under the terms of a proposal made to the City Manager by Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company on March 3, 1959. NODI THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the proposal of Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company of March 3, 1959 for the compensation of Andrew E. Bodner as an appraiser on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for making a survey of and appraisal of the value of the electric system owned in said city by Kentucky Utilities Company be accepted and ratified, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City, a contract for such compensation in words and figures as follows: BURNS & McDONNELL Engineering Company Engineers, -Architects -Consultants 95th and Troost Avenue Kansas City, Missouri P.O.Box 70$8 Delmar 3-4375 March 3, 1959 Mr. Lloyd C. Emery City Manager Paducah, Kentucky Subject: Proposal for Engineering Services Dear Mr. Emery: We offer you the services of Mr. Andrew E. Bodner, one of our principal electrical engineers, to act as the City's representative on the Board of Appraisers. The Board of Appraisers is the Board referred to in the City Franchise ordinance providing for the furnishing of electricity in the City of Paducah. 163 Mr. Bodner shall survey and appraise all of the facilities now owned by the Kentucky Utilities Company located within the City of Paducah and which are used and useful in the Companyts electric utility business in said City. Mr. Bodner will have at his disposal all of the facilities of our organization, including consultation with other members of our staff who are expert in the variour phases of the electric utility business. Our fee will be determined in accdrdance with the following formula: (a) Payment for Mr. Bodnerts services computed at the rate of ",x`12.00 per hour for the time actually devoted to the survey -appraisal. (b) Payroll expense plus 100% of any other members of our organization who may assist in the survey -appraisal (c) All expenses incurred while engaged on the project at our actual cost. We trust this proposal will meet with your approval, and that we will again have the privilege of serving your City. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
