Home My WebLink AboutOrdinances Book 14, Page 147, No Ordinance Number✓ AN ORDINANCE CALLING AN ELECTION AS TO THE FLUORIDATION OF THE WATER SUPPLY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING, DIRECTING AND INSTRUCTING THE COUNTY COURT CLERK OF McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY TO CAUSE THE FOLLO%IING QUESTION TO BE PUT UPON THE BALLOTS FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 1959: "ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF THE ENACTMENT OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE COD241ISSIONERS OF WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO FLUORIDATE THE 1.1ATER SUPPLY OF THE CITY IN SUCH MANNER AS MAY BE DIRECTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH OF TIM COMMOIWEALTH OF KENTUCKY?'r BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIVINIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That an election is hereby called by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to be held at the general election on November 3, 1959, for the purpose of having the voters of said City vote upon the question of whether or not the water supply of suhh city shall be fluoridated. SECTION 2. The question which shall be submitted to the voters of the City shall be as follows: "ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF THE ENACTMENT OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TIT CODIMISSIONERS OF WATER 'UORKS-OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO FLUORIDATE THE WATER SUPPLY OF THE CITY IN SUCH MANNER AS MAY BE DIRECTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF 1EAL^1H OF THE COI1.10NI°IEALTH OF KENTUCKY?" Provision shall be made so that each person voting may vote either "yes" or "no" as to such question. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County•Court Clerk of McCracken County, Kentucky with instructions to said Clerk to cause the question as set out in this ordinance to be put upon the ballots to be used in the city precincts at the general election on November 3, 1959. SECTION 4.
