All ORDINANCE ACCEPTIIIG TIE BID OF T1JELFTH STREET GARAGE FOR THE SALE
TO THE CITY OF PADUCAII, IENTUCKY OF TWO DUMP TRUCItS FOR USE Ild THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMEPiT OF THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY I'!ANAGER TO CONTRACT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIOPIERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAII, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentujky accept the bid of
Twelfth Street Garage for the sale to the City of two (2) International
dump trucks for use in the Public Works Department of the City, having the
following minimum specifications:
Heavy duty cab and chassis. nominal rating of two (2) tons. Manu-
facturer's G.V.vl.rating approximately 18,000 pounds. Motor approximately
148 gross horsepower rating. Single speed rear axle. Approximately
15,000 pounds rating. Wheel base approximately 135 inches with approxi-
mately 60 inches from back of rear cab to center of rear axle.
Equipped with directional lights, dual windshield vipers, sideview
mirrors, heater and defroster, front end tow hooks. Hydraulic brakes,
auxiliary rear springs with build-up kits, bed approximately 6;x8 feet -
3 cu. yd. with 4 yard ends. Heavy duty cooling system. 900x20 first line
100 level tires and tubes front and rear dual with spare mounted. Colors
orange and black. Delivery to be in three weeks from the execution of a
purchase contract. In addition to the above minimum specifications the trucl
are to have the specific specifications as set out in the bid of Twelfth St.
Garage dated July 31, 1958 for an Aristocrat body and Heil hoist.
The purchase price of each truck to be the sum of :,0,156.65, making a
total purchase price of '6,313.30 for the two (2) trucks.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract for the purchase of said trucks as set out in
Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full
force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
