HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 940, No Ordinance Number940/4' AN ORDINANCE AI -ENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE EPTITLED: "AN OPLDINAHCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND i'-iONTHLY SALARIES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDIIIAHCES IN CONFLICT HERE:IITH", ',?RICH VIAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Oid DECEMBER 11, 1951, AND AMENDED ON OCTOBER 26, 1957 Be it ordained by the board of commissioners of the city of Paducah, Kentucky: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on October 26, 1957, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. The number and rank of the members of the Fire Department of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided ° said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows: Position dumber of Positions Monthly Salary Fire Chief 1 ?415.00 Assistant Chief 2 340.00 Fire Prevention Inspector 2 315.00 Fire Captains 10 315.00 Fire Lieutenants 11 300.00 i Engineers 12 2$7.00 Fire Alarm Operators 4 300.00 (Same rani: as FiremenO Firemen 30 2$0.00 Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during his first year of service shall receive a salary of .,,260.00 per month and upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to ,;?270.00 for the second year of service, and upon completion of the second year of satisfactory service as determined by the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to the sum of :,?2$0.00." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conclift herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION3.
