That the City 1,1ana_-er be, and he is hereby, authoriz< for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to enter into a contract iriith c.'id-Continent Petroleum Corporation for the purchase of regular gasoline, minimum research octane of 84, at a price not to exceed 21.9 per gallon; also ethyl gasoline, minimum research octane of 90, at a price not to exceed 23.4 per gallon, exclusive of Federal excise tax, on condition that said Mid -Continent Petroleum Corporation remit to the City the su_m of 0.4� per gallon for all gasoline purchased; Diesel Fuel for the posted tank wagon price at time of delivery, less a refund of 0.4¢ per gallon, DX premium detergent heavy duty motor oil (exceedinS -requirements of i.;IL 0-2104) at 72¢ per gallon in 55 gallon drums (exclusive of Federal Tax); First grade Diamond TBD detergent heavy duty motor oil (exceeding .requirements of IlIL 0-2104) at 50¢ per gallon in 55 gallon drums (exclusive of Federal Tax)); First grade non -detergent Diamond motor oil at 53� per gallon in 55 gallon drums (exclusive of Federal Tax); 642 DX all-purpose chassis libricant in 10071/' drums at 190 per pound and in 35n' pails at 19.50 per pound; ,607 DX Chassis libricant in 100„4 drums at 13.5; per pound and in 35'r ;ails at 14¢ per pound; Gear lube oil ;-'{791 SAE 90 and ;rz792 SAE 40 DX all-purpose gear oil in 1007,' drums at 13.50 per pound and 40W" pails at 14.5 per pound; Peak brand permanent type anti -freeze in cases of 6 1 -gallon cans at :;1.97 per gallon and in cases of 2L, 1 -quart cans at V2.11, per gallon. All prices are guaranteed against advance and the City is to receive benefit of any price reduction. I4id-Continent Petroleum Corporation is to furnish and install without cost, three (3) electrically operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands and one (1) electrically operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. As the various departments of the City must be immediately supplied with gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oil, chassis libricant and gear lube oil for the protection of public health, safety and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall bw in full force and effect from and after its adoption. i t.ayor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners April 20, 1954 Passed by the Board of Commissioners April 27, 1954 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, April 27, 1954.
