HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 928, No Ordinance Number92$�J All ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EPJTER INTO A CONTRACT 6ITH D -X SUNRAY OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICA_dT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAII, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1958 UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 1958, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIJIMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with D -X Sunray Oil Company for the purchase of all regular gasoline and ethyl gasoline as follows: D -X Lubricating gasoline, octane rating 91, normal tank wagon price per gallon ;;0.236, discount •,.'0.025 per gallon. D -X Boron, octane rating 99, normal tank wagon price per gallon 510.271, discount ,?0.0258 per gallon. In the event of a temporary tank wagon price less than normal, the City will be charged the normal tank wagon price less the discount or the temporary tank wagon price without the discount whichever results in a lower net price per gallon of gasoline. Motor Oil in 55 -gallon drums as follows: Best Premium grade detergent HD (not to be a fleet oil) }?0.74 per gal. First grade detergent HD %?0.46 per gallon. First grade non -detergent ;60.50 per gallon. Diesel high detergent ?0.46 per gallon. Hydraulic oil 60.44 per gallon. Diesel Fuel No. 2, tank wagon pribe per gallon ;?0.153, discount 00.0275 per gallon. All purpose chassis lubricant in 100-120 pound drums ti?0.20 per pound, discount %,0.02 per pound. Gear Lube Oil, weight 140 and 90 in 100-120 pound drums, ?0.12 per pound, discount 0.02 per pound. Kerosene ,10.157 per gallon, discount .;?0.0275 per gallon. Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon cans ?2.17 per gallon, discount ti?0.130 per gallon. All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the tenth day of the month following the purchase, and the City is to have a 1% cashndiscount in ten days on motor oil and greases and 2;v cash discount in ten days on anti -freeze, and shall not be required to make a deposit on drums but all drums to be returned by the City. The Company will furnish and install three (3) electrically operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands, and will furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank. 929 All prices quoted above shall be guaranteed against advance in the market price, and the Company, except as otherwise provided herein, is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease of any of the above items. In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall agree to give twenty-four hour emergency tank truck service to any point in the city seven days per week. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage and shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
