WORKER (COLORED), AND PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES AND SALARY OF SW,, -LE
BE IT ORDAINED BY TILE BOARD OF C0141-IISSIO11ERS OF TIIE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTIOi1 1. That the City 1,ianager be, and he is
hereby, authorized to employ a competent colored person to act
as Social Worker (colored) in the City of --Paducah, Xentucky.
The duties of the Social Worker (colored) shall be the invest=
igation of cases of colored persons for the purpose of determining
their eligibility for city assistance and any other duties in
connection therewith as the City Manager may require. The Social
Worker (colored) shall make such reports to the City Physician
(colored) and the City Kanager as the City P,anager may require.
SECTION 2. The Social Worker (colored.) shall br
an employee of the City of Paducah, being removable from such
position at any time with or without cause, and shall not acquire
any rights or privileges under the rules of civil service governing
certain other employees of the City.
SECTIOZ 3. The Social Worlcer (colored) shall
receive a salary of :,,100.00 per month to be paid at the same time
as salaries of other employees are paid.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after Iay 1, 1954,
