HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 896, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF ARTICLE V OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH; PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING SANITATION AND THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE; PRESCRIBING CHARGES FOR SAID REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE AND THE METHOD OF FINANCING SAID SERVICE; AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 16, 1952 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sections 1 and 2 of Article V of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 16, 1952, be amended and reordained so that said Sections as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "Article V Financing "Section 1. Refuse Collection Service: There is hereby levied a refuse collection service charge of one dollar (;1.00) per month on each household and each business place in the City of Paducah for the purpose of increasing the revenues of the General Fund out of which shall be met the costs of providing refuse collection service, provided that households of which the lawful head is unable to afford said charge, as certified by the City's duly appointed Social Worker, shall be exempt from said charge. "Section 2.
