AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE WATER RATES
AND MINIMUM CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS OF THE
PADUCAH WATER WORKS BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE WATER
RATES AND MINIMUM CHARGES FOR SUCH SERVICES AND PROVIDING THAT
NOTHING IN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO AFFECT THE EX-
ISTING CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAI{ AND THE LONE OAK
WATER DISTRICT EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SAID CONTRACT, OR TO
AFFECT THE PRICE FOR FURNISHING WATER TO THE CITY FOR FIRE
PROTECTION OR FOR FIRE HYDRANT RENTALS CHARGED TO THE CITY;
AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES AND
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the recommenda-
tion of the Commissioners of the Paducah Water Works to increase
the water rates and minimum charges for water service to all cus-
tomers both inside and outside the corporate limits of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky and that the City approve and ratify the
following rates and minimum charges to all customers of water
both inside and outside the corporate limits, to -wit:

Such rates and minimum charges to become effective with the
May, 1958 readings and billings.
SECTION 2. Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed
to affect the contract of March 31, 1947, as amended on January 21,
1952, between the City of Paducah and the Lone Oak Water District
relative to the amount and method of carging said water district
for water furnished by the Paducah ;Vater Works except insofar as the
water rate increase will, pursuant to said contract, increase the
amount to be paid by said district, or to affect the price at which
the Commissioners of Water works furnish water to the City of Paducah
for fire protection or for fire hydrant rentals charged to the City.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of
the May, 1958 readings and billings for water service.
