HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 813, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION RECITING THE NEED FOR ACQUIRING CERTAIN LAPID 0:•TITED BY JOE TUCKER AND hTIFE, RUTH TUCKER, IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO BE USED FOR STREET PURPOSES, AND PROVIDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF SAME 11HEREAS, certain lard owned by Joe Tucker and wife, Ruth Tucker, in Paducah, Kentucky is needed for street purposes, and JHEREAS, after negotiating for the purchase of same it is not possible to consumate such purchase at a value satisfactory to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS, it will be necessary to institute condemnation proceedings in licCracken Circuit Court to acquire title to same. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COIT-IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Corporation Counsel be, and he is hereby, directed and authorized to institute condemnation proceedings in I,IcCracken Circuit Court against Joe Tucker and wife, Ruth Tucker, to acquire title for street purposes to the hereinafter described tract of land owned by the said Joe Tucker and wife, Ruth Tucker: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1$ in Block B of the Ittentucky RealtyCompany property (formerly known as Taylor and Ilocquota plat of which is of record in Plat Book A, page 105, in the i-lcCracken County Court Clerks office; said point also being on the east line of Harahan Avenue at the southern end of said street; thence eastwtardly with the south line of said Lot 18 and across Shelby Street at its north dead end 52.66 feet to a point on the south line of said Lot 18, said point also being on the east line of Shelby at its north dead end; thence northwardly at an angle of 67019to1,2" across said Lot lbs and also Lots 17 and 16 in said block 136.56 feet to a point on the east line of Harahan Avenue at the common corner of Lots 16 and 15 in the aforesaid block; thence southwardly to the east line of Harahan Avenue 126 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in .full force and effect from and after its adoption.
