That aBoard of Equalization for the purpose of equalizing the assessments of real and personal property in the City of Paducah, Kentucky for taxation is hereby established. SECTIOII 2. The Board of equalization shall consist of three (3) persons who shall be housekeepers and oarners of real estate in the City and who have been residents thereof for at least five (5) years next preceding their appointment. The members of the Board of Equalization shall be appointed by r.�otion of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky annually prior to the time fired for the meeting of said board. SECTIO -1 3. Each member of said board shall be paid the sum of ,,x10.00 per day while in the performance of his duties, and each shall perform such duties and have such powers as are now granted by statute to boards of equalization of cities of the second class in Kentucky. L SECTION 4. The Board of Equalization shall meet at the office of the City Assessor in the City Hall building in Paducah, Kentucky each and every day, Holidays and Sundays excluded, commencing with the lath `onday in October of each year, and shall continue in session for a period of four (L,) creeks from said date, unless additional time is granted by motion of the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Equalization shall be in session from 8:30 A.I.I. until 5:00 P.T.I. each and every day they are in session with the exception of the hour between Noon and 1:00 P.T:. SECTION 5.
