AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OP CERTAIN LAND OF THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, AND PROVIDING THE
TERMS AND CONDITTIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C .-VISSIONERS OF TIE CITY OF
PADUCAH, IENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky purchase from
the United States of America, through the Administration of -General
Services, certain land situated in Paducah, Kentucky, described in
brief as follows:
Being knowm as the Paducah Sub -Depot property
I?o. D-KY-Ip26 situated on i•Yeyers Street and
being a part of Block Nos. 18, 19 and 20 in
what is known as the warren Thornberry Survey
of the Langstaff lands above Island Creek,
being all of such property owned by the United
States of America subject to various easements
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky and easements
for operation of United States owned equipment.
SECTION 2. Such land is being purchased by the City of
Paducah, Kentucky for public purposes and the purchase price to
be paid by the City for said land is the sum of Twenty-nine
Thousand Dollars (;),29,000.00), and the City Treasurer is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a check to General Services
Administration of the United States of America for said sum upon
approval by the City I•Ianager, the City Engineer and the Corporation
Counsel, and shall charge same to Account Number 7700.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
