HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 784, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE CALLING AN ELECTION AS TO THE REPEAL OF A RESOLUTI W ENTITLED' "A RESOLUTION RELATING TO A PROPOSED ADJUSTI-BIdT IPI THE HOURS OF BUSINESS AND EI-TLO)PMENT OF VARIOUS ESTABLISMAENTS, FIM -TS, PERSONS AND CORPORATIONS", MICH :'lAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF C0,11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IMNTUCKY ON MARCH 27, 1956 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI-MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, ITNTUCKY: SECTION 1. That an election is hereby called by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky to be held at the general election on November 5, 1957, for the purpose of having the voters of said city vote on the question of whether or not the following Resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on I -larch 27, 1956 be repealed: "A RESOLUTIONI RELATING TO A PROPOSED ADJUST- I,+M DIT IN THE HOURS OF BUSINESS AND EMPLOY -1-1311T OF VARIOUS ESTABLISHI=IEI!TS, FIRP•IS, PERSONS AND CORPORATIONS". SECTIOII 2. The question which shall be submitted to the voters of the City shall be in substantially the folloiring form: "ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF THE REPEAL OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY TIM BOARD OF C01,211ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IMTTUCKY ON MARCH 27, 1956 HAVING THE FOLLO.ING TITLE: 4A ESOLUTION RELATING TO A PROPOSED ADJUSTI•EINT IN THE HOURS OF BUSINESS AND Ei1'L•OYT- HT OF VARIOUS ESTABLISHI-EDITS, FIRDIS, PERSONS AND CORPORATIONS"? Provision shall be made on the right side of the ballot follo,vring the above question for votes in favor of the repeal of such resolution to be designated by the word "Yes" and for votes opposing same to be designated by the word "Io'T. SECTIOI!3. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Court Clerk of PicCracken County with instructions to the County Court Clerk to cause the question set out in this ordinance to be printed upon the ballots to be used in the city precincts at the general election on November 5, 1957.
