HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 780, No Ordinance Number78Vj All ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COI-ITISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY Oil THE, EAST SIDE OF LONE OAI{ ROAD BETWEEN JACKSON STREET AND BROADWAY AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZOPTING BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE BOARD OF C0I17 SSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning and Zoning Commission on October 2, 1957, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COM- i,ISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF LONE OAK ROAD BETWEEN JACKSON STREET AND BROAD^lAY", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That all of the property irithin the area described below noir having an R-2 Zone classification be, and it is hereby, reclassified, redesignated and placed in a B-1 Zone classification: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Jackson Street and Lone Oak Road; thence north with the center line of Lone Oak Road to a point 450 feet north of the north line of Maple Avenue; thence at right angles east, following the north line of C. M. Mocquot and that line extended, 207.5 feet to the center line of an alley; thence south 1•rith the center line of said alley, across Maple Avenue, to the center line of Clark Street; thence west frith the center line of Clark Street to a point 175 feet more or less east of the east line of Lone Oak Road, measured at right angles to said Road; thence south, parallel with Lone Oak Road, to the center line of an alley which extends northwardly from Adams Street; thence south with the center line of the last mentioned alley 211.53 feet to the center line of Adams Street; thence west with the center line of Adams Street to a point in said line 115 feet more or less east of the east line of Lone Oak Road, as measured along the center line of Adams Street; thence at right angles south, along a line which intersects the south line of Adams Street at a point 136.5 feet east of the southeast corner of the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Adams Street, 152.5 feet to the center line of an alley; thence at right angles east along the center line of the last mentioned alley 146 feet more or less; thence south along the rear line of Verda i.I. Alliston 94.09 feet more or less to the north line of the property of the Paducah ;later ['lorks; thence southwest along the line dividing the 1.1ater Works property and the Alliston property 195.55 feet to the north line of Jackson Street; thence south at right angles -to Jackson Street to the center line of Jackson Street; thence west with the center line of Jackson Street to the beginning. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance and the map referred to in Section 13 thereof entitled "CITY OF PADUCAH PLAN -ZONING I -SAP" be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided for in Section 2 hereof. 781 SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
