HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 739, No Resolution Number739 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED TO ALVIS FARMER CONVEYING LOT BIO. 11 IN BLOCK NO. 5 IN THURMAN, HUGHES, HERZOG AND BETHEL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PURCHASED BY HIM FROM THE CITY OF PADUCAH ON OR ABOUT NOVE1,1BER 6, 1945 WHEREAS on November 6, 1945 the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by ordinance accepted an offer of Alvis Farmer in the amount of v'75.00 for the purchase of Lot 11, Block 5 in Thurman, Hughes, Herzog and Bethel Addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS said sum of .;;75.00 was paid to the City by the said Alvis Farmer and a deed executed to him pursuant to the terms of the afore- said ordinance, and WHEREAS said deed was never placed of record in the office of the County Court Clerk of McCracken County, Kentucky and it is presumed to have been lost or destroyed, and TJHEREAS the said Alvis Farmer has requested the City to execute another deed conveying said property to him. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed to Alvis Farmer conveying Lot No. 11 in Block No. 5 in Thurman, Hughes, Herzog and Bethel Addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a plat of which is of record in Plat Book "A", page $0 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, and being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah by Sam King, Diaster Commissioner, et al, by deed dated November 2$, 1944 and of record in Master Commission- er's Deed Book 12, page 215 in the aforesaid Clerk's office, said deed conveying said property to him with no covenant of warranty as to title and subject to any and all facts that might be shown by an accurate survey of same. SECTION 2.
