FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF If9 AND y"ll LINESTOHE, KENTUCKY STATE HIGIRIAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR USE BY THE CITY DURING 1957, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY P•IA°'LAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAI -U;, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERi'TS AND CO-NDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE BOARD OF C01-11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, ICENTUCKY: SECTIOPI 1. That the bid of Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of Paducah of r9 and ;=11 Limestone, Kentucky State Highway Specifications, required by the City during the year 1957 (approximately 5000 to 8000 tons) be accepted, and that the City Manager, be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase, upon the order of the City, of all such '9 and "ll limestone to be used during the year 1957, such contract to provide for the price of ..p2.00 per ton. The limestone to be delivered to any destination in the city limits of the city a ordered, by collect telephone call, by the Director of Public Works in one hundred ton lots or more and delivery to beEin irithin t,,•renty-four hours after notification and continue until the required amount has been delivered. All weights of delivered limestone must be certified at some accurate scale at or near the City of Paducah at the expense of the Seller. The Seller shall furnish representative samples of the limestone at 'the request of the Director of Public Works. The Seller shall guarantee against advance in the market price and guarantee reduction in the event of a decrease in the market price. The Seller shall host a performance bond in the sum of ,1,500.00 _guaranteeing specifications and delivery. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of 'the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the public health and safety of the City of Paducah that said material No be available as soon as possible for street repair work, an emer„ency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
