OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES} CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH PIAS
ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COM31ISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1947 AND
AMENDED ON APRIL
RIL 27, 1954, SEPTEMBER 11, 1956, OCTOBER 23, 1956,
OCTOBER 30, 1956 AND NOVEMBER 20, 1956
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, AENTUCItY:
SECTION 1. That Sections 7, 7A, $A, 8B, $C, $D and 9
of the "Appointive Employees' Civil Service Ordinance" which
was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947,
and amended on April 27, 1954, September 11, 1956, October 23,
1956, October 30, 1956 and November 20, 1956 be, and the same
are hereby amended and reordained so that said sections as amended
and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 7. There is hereby created and authorized the following
positions in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each position,
provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportion-
ment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

was formerly in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each position,
provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

SECTIOPI $-B. There is hereby authorized and created the
following positions in the Public works Department, heretofore known
as the Street Department, and the salaries of each position, provided
the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

"SECTION 8-C. There is hereby authorized and created the
following positions in the Cemetery Department and the salary of
each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changedf-

each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under

Paducah, but directly under the supervision of the City Manager, and
the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is
not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted
shall be as follows:

of the City i'.lanager.
The Building & Electrical Inspector shall perform the duties
formerly performed by the Building Inspector and the Electrical
Inspector, and said Building & Electrical Inspector shall be
under the direct supervision of the City Manager."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption, and the salary increases shall be
retroactive and effective beginning January 1, 1957 except as
otherwise provided herein.
