HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 691, No Ordinance NumberA'4Dl=jj 691 AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADJUSTING THE RATES OF PAY FOR CERTAIN NON -CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That from and including the first day of January,, 1957, the monthly rate of compensation to the following non -civil (j service employees of the City of Paducah shall be the amount set �>A�c opposite the designation of such employment, to -wit: Position Monthly Salary Corporation Counsel .045.00 Assistant Corporation Counsel 245.00 Assistant Corporation Counsel (Police Court) 165.00 Director of Public Works 390.00 City Physician (colored) 180.00 Alcoholic Beverage Administrator & License Inspector 315.00 Secretary to City Judge 165.00 Janitor 200.00 Dog Catcher 200.00 Dog Shelter Attendant 100.00 Chief Foreman of Refuse 340.00 Temporary Clerk in Engineering Dept. 210.00 Field -Office Helper 270.00 After the person has occupied the position of Field=Office Helper for a period of six months, the salary thbreof, upon recommendation of the City Manager, shall be ti0275.00 per month, and at the end of twelve months, upon recommendation of the City Manager, said salary shall be ?280.00 per month. SECTION 2. The payment of salaries as herein provided, including increases, shall be considered Current Departmental expenses and shall be chargable to the accounts of each of said departments or divisions thereof where said employees are employed, or as directed by the City Manager, and payment therefor shall be provided for in the annual apportionment ordinance for the current year upon its adoption. All of the increases in salaries herein provided shall be retroactively effective and payable from January 1, 1957. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. 692 SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption, and the salary increases shall be retroactive and effective beginning January 1, 1957.
