AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A.ISUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE LONE OAK WATER DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Lone Oak
Water District have requested that a Contract entered into by
and between the City of Paducah and the Lone Oak Water Dis-
trict under date of I,Iarch 31, 1947, as said Contract was amended
by a supplemental contract dated January 21, 1952, be further
amended by a Supplemental Contract so as to increase, from fifty
(50) to one hundred seventy-five (175), the number of consumers
to be served in a "fringe area" as provided in said Contract,
as amended, and to enlarge certain portions of said "fringe area",
as defined therein; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Water Works of the City
of Paducah have approved a Supplemental Contract dated the 11th
day of February, 1957, and have recommended that said Sup-
plemental Contract be approved and executed by the City of
Paducah; and
WHEREAS, said Supplemental Contract has been received
and filed by the Board of Commissioners, and it appearing to the
Board of Commissioners that the terms and conditions of said
Supplemental Contract are acceptable;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMIIISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Supplemental Contract dated the 11th
day of February, 1957, by and between the City of Paducah and the
Lone Oak Water District, which was filed with the Board of
Commissioners on the 12th day of February, 1957, by and the same j
is hereby approved, and the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City JI
of Paducah are hereby authorized to execute said Contract for and
on behalf of the City and said Contract is to be effective as of
the 12th day of February, 1957.
SECTION 2. That the supplemental contract referred to in
Section 1 hereof is supplemental to and is an amendment of the
Contract heretofore executed by said Lone Oak Water District
and the City of Paducah on March 31, 1947, pursuant to an ord-
inance entitled: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE
ACTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH ON
MARCH 25, 1947, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT
FOR THE SALE OF SURPLUS WATER TO THE LONE OAK WATER DISTRICT,
AND APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE CONTRACT EXECUTED ON MARCH 31,
191711, which was passed by the Board of Commissioners on April
1, 1947, as said Contract was amended pursuant to an ordinance
entitled: "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE LONE OAIt WATER DISTRICT AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF", adopted by the Board of
Commissioners on February 5, 1952.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
