AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN
ALLEY IN BLOCK 11 OF CHAMBLIN, MURRAY AND BROWN ADDITION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE ACTION IN THE
McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING SUCH PORTION
OF SUCH ALLEY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMi+IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky does hereby
authorize the closing of the following described portion of an
alley in Block 11 of Chamblin, Murray and Brown Addition, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the south line of
Lot 18, Block 11 of Chamblin, Murray and
Brown Addition 100 feet west of Green 3 reet,
said point being also on the north line of
the alley hereinbefore referred to; thence
eastwardly with the north line of said alley
100 feet to the west line of Green Street;
thence southwardly with the west line of
Green Street across said alley to a point
where the south line of same intersects the
west line of Green Street; thence westwardly
with the south line of said alley 100 feet;
thence northwardly and parallel with Green Street
15 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of
Paducah is hereby authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute,
pursuant to the provisions of KRS 94.360, a suit for a decree ordering
the closing of the aforesaid portion of said alley.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
