HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 639, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY TREASURER TO WITHHOLD A FEE OF 2% FOR THE COLLECTION OF SCHOOL TAXES LEVIED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE FEES SO COLLECTED AND RETAINED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, directed to withhold a fee of 2% of all tax collections made for the benefit of the Board of Education of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2_ All stuns of money withheld by the City Treasurer as set out in Section 1 hereof shall be placed in the general fund of the City to be applied against the tax collection expenses of the City. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to December 20, 1955, and the City Treasurer is hereby directed and authorized to pay to the Board of Education all sums retained as collection fees from December 20, 1955 in excess of 2 of the total collections. i I7ayo1r, ,A � Passed by the Board of Commissioners December 11, 1956 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, December 11, 1956. b39' d
