AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF JAMES W. CRUMP AND WIFE,
MARIE CRUMP, LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH EAST CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAME WHICH IS TO
BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted on October 16, 1956, the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners,
proposed to extend the boundary of the city by annexing certain
property of James W. Crump and wife, Marie Crump, lying adjacent to
the south east corporate limits of the city, which property is herein-
after more particularly described, and
19HEREAS, said ordinance declaring the desirability of extending
the boundary as herein provided has been published in ten (10) issues
of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the city, and
WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment of said ordinance, ,and
WHEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken
Circuit Court protesting such extension of the city limits.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property of James W.
Crump and wife, Marie Crump, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
the same being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present boundary of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, said point being on the
south line of a 25 foot street knoirm as West Virginia
Street and being 200 feet west of the right of way of
the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway; thence
westwardly with said line of West Virginia Street 149
feet; thence southwardly and parallel with Nashville,
Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway right of way 175 feet;
thence eastwardly and parallel with hest Virginia Street
149 feet; thence northwardly 175 feet to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
